Zum Vorkommen der Kurzohrmaus Microtus subterraneus (de Selys- Longchamps, 1836) in Sachsen-Anhalt

(2009): Distribution of the Common pine vole Microtus subterraneus (de Selys-Longchamps, 1836) in Saxony-Anhalt. – Hercynia N.F. 42 (2009): 117-124.The paper presents the current state of knowledge on distribution of the Common pine vole Microtus subterraneus in the federal state of Saxony-Anhalt (Germany) and shows a cut-out of its northern spreading border. The records are mainly based on the analysis of owl pellets, some of trap catches. For this area it can be altogether estimated that the Pine vole is a rare but regularly occurring small mammal without any changes regarding to widespread and frequency in the comparison to the past level of knowledge (Erfurt & Stubbe 1986).
