Abstract: Srugies, A.; Frühauf, M.: Investigations to surface runoff in vineyards with different forms of cultivation. – Hercynia N.F. 39 (2006): 11 – 24.In this contribution, the influence on rainfall runoff in vineyards is described, focusing on different forms of cultivation (grass cover, bark, bare soil) in the study area “Weinbaubereich Mansfelder Seen” (Sachsen-Anhalt, Germany). Statistical calculations (box-plot analysis, statistical tests) was used to compare three examination areas, based on a two-years long series of measurements related to the quantity an quality of overland flow. Contrary to the general theory, the grass cover had the greatest tendency to build surface runoff. The highest ability of retention could award to the bare surface. In addition the article discusses the mean of these findings in regional and vinegrowing connection.
