Jentzsch, M.; Dietze, H.: Distribution of Cimicidae (Heteroptera: Cimicidae) from Saxony-Anhalt. – Hercynia N.F. 38 (2005): 119–124. With the bed bug, the European bat bug and the European swallow bug three representatives of the Cimicidae occur in Saxony-Anhalt. The insufficient taxonomic status within the genus Cimex is referred. The distribution of C. lectularius in Saxony-Anhalt is described on the basis of ordnance survey map quadrants using both published and unpublished data. Altogether 12 quadrant recordings exist from the period since and the same number from the years before 1960. Bat bugs of the C. pipistrelli group were proven so far only at four places of Saxony-Anhalt and beside an occurrence in the 30’s there are only three records of Oeciacus hirundinis since 1990. Detailed investigations above all in bat roosts and at bird breeding places are necessary to improve the knowledge about the distribution of these bugs.eng
