| dc.description.abstract | The present article shows the distribution of the gras-snake (Natrix natrix (L.)) in the urban area of Halle/Saale and its environs. The observations confirm an increase in distribution and the establishment of some healthy populations of the species. A variety of factors are discussed that can have destabilizing effects on grass-snake population numbers and/or can cause destruction of their habitats. | eng |
