Investigations of the spider-, harvestmen- and ground beetle fauna had been performed at six sites within and in the vicinity of a hercynian raised bog in the years 1983 and 1988. The animals were caught with barber-traps. In parallel microclimatic factors (light and temperature) and vegetation were registered at each site. In total 118 species of spiders, 6 species of harvestmen and 22 species of ground beetles were found. The fauna of raised bog-sites, fen-sites and spruce forest-sites clearly differed. For 13 spider species and two ground beetle species brief ecological and zoogeographical characteristics are given. Phenological data are presented for five species of spiders. Possible changes in species and specimens composition within five years are discussed as well as the binding of spiders to raised bogs. An attempt is made to explain zoogeographical distribution patterns of moor spiders.eng
