Innovations and food chain actors‘ behavior - [kumulative Habilitation]

Abstract

Der Zusammenhang zwischen Innovationen und dem menschlichen Verhalten ist Gegenstand der aktuellen Forschung. Die zehn Artikel, welche die vorliegende Schrift beinhaltet, setzen an diesem Forschungsgebiet an und können zwei Themengebieten zugeordnet werden: Der erste Teil (Teil A) beinhaltet Artikel, die sowohl das gesetzeskonforme Verhalten der Betriebe als auch die Wirkung des Lebensmittelrechts auf das Verhalten untersuchen. Die Artikel, die in Teil A präsentiert sind, werden in theoretische und empirische Arbeiten aufgeteilt. Das zweite thematische Gebiet (Teil B) beinhaltet die Arbeiten, in denen Faktoren analysiert werden, die die Übernahme von Innovationen in den ländlichen Gebieten Deutschlands und Russlands beeinflussen.

A significant amount of interdisciplinary research work has been conducted on the interrelations between innovations and human behavior. The ten papers in this collection contribute to this literature. The papers can be divided into two thematic areas. The first area (part A) compiles contributions studying businesses’ compliance behavior and the effects of changing incentives through innovative food regulation measures. The papers presented in part A can be further divided into two groups: the theoretical and empirical works. The second thematic area (part B) contains papers on the factors affecting the adoption and diffusion of innovation in rural areas in Germany and Russia.
