015 - Exploration III, allgemeine und zukünftige Lebenssituation

Abstract

Die 3. Exploration ist eine von drei Exploration zum Leben der Probanden. Mittels Gesprächsführung sollen bei den Explorationen bestimmte Sachverhalte über das Leben der Probanden erörtert werden. Da die BOLSA am alltäglichen Leben der Probanden, wie auch an deren Vergangenheit und Zukunft interessiert war, orientierte sich das geführte Gespräch an diesen drei Oberthemen. Die 3. Exploration befasste sich mit der Zukunft und Zukunftsvorstellungen der Probanden. Sie wurde erst am Ende der jeweiligen Untersuchungswelle durchgeführt. In den meisten Fällen sind diese Explorationen auf den Tonbändern der BOLSA aufgezeichnet worden. Unterschieden wurden Fragen nach der direkten Zukunft (den kommenden Monaten) sowie der fernen Zukunft und Zukunftserwartungen. Ziel war es sowohl die Pläne, Wünsche und Erwartungen aber auch die Ängste der Probanden an die kommende Zeit zu ermitteln. Der Umgang älterer Menschen mit der Zukunft stand dabei im Mittelpunkt. Durch die Exploration sollte ein klareres Bild gewonnen werden, welche Einstellungen ältere Menschen zur unsicheren Zukunft mit Problemen des Älterwerdens entwarfen und wie sie sich darauf einstellten. Die 3. Exploration wurde in allen Untersuchungswellen durchgeführt.

The 3rd exploration is one of three explorations for the life of the subjects. During the exploration, certain facts about the life of the test persons are to be discussed by means of conversation. As BOLSA was interested in the everyday life of the probands, as well as their past and future, the conversation was based on these three main topics. The 3rd exploration dealt with the future and the future ideas of the test persons. It was only carried out at the end of the respective wave of investigation. In most cases these explorations were recorded on the BOLSA tapes. A distinction was made between questions about the immediate future (the coming months) and the distant future and future expectations. The aim was to find out the plans, wishes and expectations as well as the fears of the test persons about the coming time. The focus was on how older people deal with the future. The aim of the exploration was to gain a clearer picture of the attitudes of older people towards an uncertain future with problems of aging and how they adjusted to this. The 3rd exploration was carried out in all waves of the study.
